Vinaros itself is a beautiful fishing town with lots to do for the whole family. There is a good selection of shops and the town has lots of little streets that you can explore. There are many great quality restaurants in the town enabling you to eat the freshly caught Vinaros Prawn that the region has earned a Denomination of Origin for. There are many beaches and coves in the area where you can enjoy the fine golden sand and relaxing heat of the sun. These beaches also have play areas for the children – slides, climbing frames etc. All of these beaches have the ISO 14001 environmental certificate which guarantees high quality maintenance, cleaning and respect for the environment.

During the August months, there are specific attractions for the children alongside the beach in Vinaros – a small fair, large inflatables in the sea, markets.

There is much to do in and around Vinaros, you could take a trip to the mountain of El Puig, a vantage point with stunning views located about 6k away. In nearby Sant Jordi, located on an uneven plain in Bajo Maestrazgo you can visit the Iberian and Roman ruins.

20 mins drive from the Villa is the beautiful town of Peniscola with the stunning 14th century castle on the waters edge. In the summer, the long promenade is littered with street entertainers and market stalls selling local crafts. The castle is lit up at night and the walk to the top is interesting with lots of shops and restaurants. At 10pm every night in August, fireworks are set from the top of the castle.

Also, if you fancied a longer trip, Valencia and Barcelona are only about 1 and 2 hours drive away respectively.

The villa is located on the Panoramica Golf Course. Designed by Bernhard Langer and opened in 1995, is a quality 72 par course with outstanding practice facilities. It is a challenging course with 6 water hazards and is routed through a gently rolling landscape of olive and orange trees with a backdrop of the surrounding hills and mountains. Such is the reputation of Panoramica it was chosen to host the 2005 Ladies PGA Tour Spanish Open.

A bit further out heart of the Costa Daurada coast you will find Universal Studios Port Aventura, definitely one of the biggest theme parks in southern Europe (about 1hour 10 mins away). There are also two water parks in the area the Aquopolis Water Park in Cullera and the Aquarama Benicasim Water Park which are both great to go to in the hot and sticky summer months. Also nearby is a lake where there is a wealth of sporting activities available for the whole family to enjoy.
